I hope you can help me. I recently found a unusual Item in an unusual place. The title of the unusual piece is, Circel Cupid presented to Pettis Lighthouse by Clifford Art Studio Inc. New York City. It appears very old (the label in the back is framed with a border with all the lettering Typed.) It is in a glass frame with two cupids holding a shield (it appears to be) and it also appears to made of some kind of material (appears to me to be a three dementional plaster of some kind-white and pink). I know it certainly can't be worth anything but I am very curious of it origin!

We bought a home and with it came an oriental painted picture on canvas Asian woman with a big vase, plate on an oriental rug with another vase, flowers and 2 flowers laying on the ground by the vase..On the big vase it looks like there's a painting of a camel and clouds in the background...the woman is wearing a ceremonial headpiece...the painters name looks like Paul Kinl and it was from a Beverly Hills, California gallery from the 1950s....We are trying to find out if it is worth anything.

I have two prints of paintings that I am going crazy trying to find information about. I inherited both.
I have a print of "Moulin Rouge" by Antoine Blanchard. Other than being lovely, there is only a burnished metal plaque on the front of the frame with that information - nothing remarkable otherwise. On the back on brown paper are stamped some items: V4488-593, Moulin Rouge; Inspected by 297; and Illinois Moulding Company. I know that this print is old, and my grandmother moved to Washington in 1923 and did not return so either she brought it with her, which I find unlikely, or was shipped or brought this print by a family member. The earliest I remember seeing it in her home here was the mid- to late '50s. Other than being aged (and still lovely), this print is in excellent condition as is the frame, which, by indication of the stamps on the back, is original. Is there ANYTHING you could tell me about this print?
The other is a print of a painting titled "White and Gold" and is signed "Carrier". On the back is a label with a logo of Catalda Fine Arts. Under that is the title of the print; the last name of the artist, Carrier; and "U. S. Print Co. 932". Is there anything at all anyone can tell me about this one? Is in good shape and frame is in fair to good shape, and again I have to assume it's original as the same brown paper with that label is attached to the back. I do not have any other history about this except that it was in my grandmother's possession for quite some time.

Several years ago I bought 3 original oil paintings that I thought were very well done. The only name on the canvas is "Frome". I know that Frome, UK, is an artist colony, or a place of artist homes, but any idea how I might find out the actual name of the artist. The art os of flowers in vases and is extremely well done.

I have a large gold framed (good condition frame) of an original oil painting from Catalda Fine Arts, Inc. New York. Label says "original oil painting, Paris street scene, Falentino 13881. Frame No. ML145, Order No.9908" It is signed Falentino. It measures with frame about 31 x 42 1/2 inches.

I purchased 4 paintings titled Grandma Moses with the artist signature of "MOSES"on the pieces. They are done on wood and the label on the back says "Catalda Fine Arts, Inc., New York, N.Y. The artist number is 7933 and there is a frame number and order number. The pictures depict scenes in four seasons of farm life. Can you tell me anything about these pieces. We have a painting that belonged to my husbands Aunt. It says Catalda Fine Arts Inc. on the back the title is The Harvest by Lier we can't read the Frame No or Order No. On the front by the Artist's signature it has F then a c in a circle then H 1937. I have two prints that came from Catalda Fine Arts that are Van Gogh. Titles are Drawlbrige and Landscape with trees. They also have a number SA62. Can you tell me anything about them? I have an old print/photo of saint with two children sitting on her lap, one child has a hailo around her head and she is hold a holy cross, the lady whom I'm assuming could be Holy Mary has a hailo around her head too, however the child sitting on her lap doesn't. Cannot see any artists name , but there is a handwritten date on the picture of 1882 ....and the frame is made from original old plaster and painted with gold leaf which is now a very dirty blackish colour..... would be interested to hear from anybody who could identify this picture and give more info on it.

Could you please give me information on two Catalda Art Prints prints I've just acquired?
One is Title .. Birds .. Old Plates and is of a Yellow Billed Coucal. Information on the front pictues left hand lower corner says "Swainson del (with a small cursive "t" above the l) and the lower right hand corner says "Lizars sc). Plate # 19.
The other print with your sticker on the back says "Birds" "Old Plates and order # SB336. It is Plate # 28 of an Owl. Bottom lower left says Stewart del (the with lower case t above the l). There may be something on the lower right but the print has slipped down and I cannot read it and don't want to open up the back as it is the original state when your company matted and framed it.
Any information would be so very greatly appreciated.
