"I am an art teacher and artist. Most of my paintings begin by me being moved to stop and draw something as I walk about and I MUST draw it. The next day it may seem special no more.
When I paint it I try and express this sense of the 'special' in the ordinary. I hope that sometimes I succeed and viewers can share this modest union."
