"I am predominantly self-taught, having had a
passion for art since childhood.
I find living near the Lake District
tremendously inspiring and know I could never tire of
the ever-changing light and weather conditions, and the effect
this has on the
diverse landscape.
I like to try to express a mystical quality in my work, and something of the
power and majesty of the infinite, and how mysterious and unfathomable this
relationship with the landscape is to us. I try to
convey feelings and sensations of "being there" -
surrrounded by the elements, rather than
a photographic quality."
