"As an artist, I am to be judged by my work. I begin each painting afresh-
without preconceptions. Variety describes my work best: in medium, subject,
size and mood; representative and abstract.
1. I enjoy the challenge of 'finding' a subject or design in a piece of raw
plywood and interpreting it with the addition of imaginative touches. My
method developed gradually and it is original....
Each painting on wood is unique and cannot be copied as no two pieces
have the same grain pattern.
2. A completely different approach is used in my other paintings. A beautiful
scene may inspire me to record it, but never an exat copy. For that - I
use a camera.
