"I was born in July 1987, in Neuilly-Sur-Seine near Paris. Because of my father's job, I spent my childhood travelling and changing schools as much as three times a year. I grew up in France, Germany and Africa. As a child, I did not see colours in people and for me, the world was full of people of all races and colours, speaking hundreds of different dialects. I understood issues about discriRed Lipstion only later when I was studying in the USA. Maybe this is why I do not respect a conventional approach of colours in my work.
I feel that these encounters with different cultures gave me a taste for travelling and opening my mind to different experiences. My different trips to Africa, America, Asia and the Caribbean opened my heart to the broad range of bright colours which are often used in my paintings.
I have always been interested in expressing myself through art, be it music, dance or painting. When my friends started to buy or commission my work, I realized I enjoyed it more than anything else. I still consider myself more as an autodidact and a 'touche a tout'. Curious about new techniques, I decided to enroll in art classes as I arrived in the UK, but I still prefer to express myself using my vivid imagination.
I look at several ways of expressing 'Feminine' and sensuality and another vision of life through dreams and imagination. I'd love my work to be able to cast a spell on the viewer and tell him things he does not know about himself through a fascinating exchange. I want to transcribe the way women feel, trace their inner emotions on paper. I think that women live in a fantasy world where they would love to be someone else; thinner, blonder, more beautiful happier :) ... and this is what I am representing.
Most of my work is figurative based on the human figure. The mediums I use the most are Oil painting and etching."
