"As an Artist I consider myself first and foremost a COLOURIST and this I associated with my love of textiles and my long connection with the beautiful colourful spring gardens of my native Cornwall where I live and work. The wonderful light of Cornwall has a big influence on my work, also the light here is similar to that of southern Spain, the south of France and Cyprus where I have spent may months at a time.
Having travelled extensively, I can say that I am a diversee, painting many subjects and during my long stay in Cyprus, was influenced by the Iconographic paintings and the lovely stained glass, influences which I believe can be seen in my paintings."
