Manifest Of Modern Minimalist Art

Modern milimalism is the use of a few elements [or a few basic principles] in order to maximise the impact of a work. The aim/purpose is to create many possible realities out of one event or object to evoke the greatest number of meanings.

To achieve this an artist may employ any of the following:

Numbers: The artist will find their own power number and use it as many times as possible, or can use any other number which strengthens or enhances the work. Where many numbers are used, the artists own power number should predominate.

Symbols:Any symbol may be used, from any culture, religion or place which may help with understanding or which compliments the end result.

Astrology:The stars and constellations of the Zodiac may be included in any way.

Materials:When possible, the artist uses his own essence, or that of other people to strengthen the result.

Generally speaking, any science, exact or random, when applied to Modern Minimalism, is good.

Painting
Premises:A background colour must be chosen for the painting, onto which the desired work is to be carried out.
Three colours may then be selected (not including the background colour) and these three colours are used in the production of the artwork.
As far as possible, these three colours should be "pure" - unmixed. If a mixed colour is used, this should not be the dominant colour.

With the above premises assumed, Modern minimalism is then a question of primary or secondary "key".

Primary Modernist Minimalism: Primary modernist minimalism is characterised by the use of the three primary colours (red, yellow and blue) plus black or white for the development of the design.

Secondary Modernist Minimalism: Secondary modernist minimalism is characterised by the use of secondary colours (orange, purple and green) which are derived from mixing the primary colours plus black or white for the development of the design.

Anything pertaining to mankind is a suitable subject for painting
