Peter Gander is a professional graphic artist, illustrator http://www.gandercreative.co.uk and art director who has worked in London for the past 20 years. Trained at Barnet, Herts and Canterbury College of Art, Kent, (Now Kent Institute of Art and Design), he has only recently moved into painting as a contrast to the pressures of the 'day job'.
His ultimate goal is to concentrate more and more on the 'Artist' and less on the 'Graphic Designer'. His styles vary enormously, though pieces often retain a noticeably graphic feel about them.
"I love the tactile feel of the viscous acrylics and the canvas, so different, and it is so very different and far removed from using a computer as an artistic or design tool to someone elses' dictates and deadlines. It's utter freedom and it's extremely liberating!"
