"I was away from a busy, stressful, crowded rainy and cold London and
travelling. I was suddenly drawn into this beautiful, magical, empty,
stressfree, untouched scenery in Key Largo (Florida) in December 1999!.
This jetty is symbolic. It goes on the left and forces you to stop and to
go a bit backwards, and to wait, and to rest on a very peaceful sea. It
projects towards the light like 'Hope'.
The sea soothes the jetty - 'Feeling the end, or stop of struggles'; waiting
for a change.
This painting is one of my favourites. Its colours change during the day.
No need of artificial light - it is best with natural light. It
goves different effects when looking sideways."
