" I suggested that the child be painted on a beach as landscape backdrops was an idea I wanted to explore. Beach scenes look stunning. The painting was taken from a photograph on a beach in Lanzarote where the little boy had spent much time. I chose to use a long frame to highlight the contrasting blues of the sky and sea. For extra personalization, his initials and the date of the photo has been etched into the sand."
