I am an enthusiastic amateur, combining painting with a career as a Consulting Engineer. I work primarily in oil paints, nowadays on fine quality stretched canvass, often using Acrylic paints as a base. My subject matter is widely varied, including landscapes, portraits, wildlife and city scenes, and I paint in a mixture of styles from impasto and palette knife work to fine detailed brushwork, depending on mood and subject.
