What was rather comical for Malcolm, and ultimately resulted in him deciding to do this painting, was watching the cow in the forefront looking over the fence, and imagining him saying something like, "We are on the wrong side of the fence, and if we happen to find a sign that says 'Out of Bounds', we are going to be in big trouble! But nevertheless, we have always thought that the grass is greener on the other side, so let's make the most of it while we can.
