"I spend time every year in the Hawaiian Islands and it is there that I have found the chief source for the inspiration of most of my artwork. One of the true joys I obtain from my painting is to try and capture the wonderful places I have seen while traveling. I enjoy painting images of tropical rain forests, water reflections, lily ponds, koi ponds and sunsets. Although Hawaii themes have been my primary focus, other favourite subjects include flowers and seascapes. My main medium is oil on canvas, though, I like to travel with watercolours so that I can quickly capture the beauty of a special place.
I studied art at the Museum of Fine Arts Houston School of Art and the Glassell School of Art. I have studied with many local and national artists and have won many awards at the local, state and international level. I have work in private collections and am currently an executive board member of the Houston Art Society and a member of the Lone Star Art Guild.
