ARTIST STATEMENT

Carol Wilson is an internationally Acclaimed watercolour artist, known for her unique style which combines the fluid beauty of the medium with photographic detail.
The results are quite dramatic. Each painting has its own magic quality. Carol has spent several years in Wast Africa where her time was productively spent working on her natural talent for painting birds in their own environment.
Almost entirely self taught, Carol gladly shares her knowledge and expertise with fellow artists. Carol is passionate that we have a duty to conserve our world and its birds for future generations. To this end, she has donated some of her beautiful bird pictures to the RSPB and the St. Albans group have used these on their programmes and raised funds by auctioning them.
Individual tuition can be arranged by appointment with Carol. Carol has found that the best results are achieved by viewing examples of the artist's own work and tailoring any tuition to their individual needs and talents by working through any problem areas in a positive and practical way.
Carol has exhibited her work on a worldwide stage from Kenya to Pakistan. She had considerable success with her gallery and gift shop in Cornwall.
Carol now finds a lot of her time is spend teaching the "Art" of watercolour. Carol occasionally takes bookings for demonstrations and talks. These are now limited to a few a year.
