"I have always loved colour and the New Zealand culture inspired me more than ever. I spent 7 months out in New Zealand in my 20s, 5 of which I earned a living from painting and selling terracotta pots. I spent 3 months in a warehouse in a very small room where I painted pots, lived on pies and mars bars and slept in a sleeping bag on the floor.
I saved enough to pay the rent, eat junk food and send money home to pay off some of my bills.
I have always painted from a young age, if my dreams don't come true, well, at least I can say that I Tried!"
