What better medium to select than watercolour to paint flower
petals or the wings of fairies? Artist Alexandra Dawe's choice
of medium was perfect to create the pearlescent transparancy
of such delicate forms and she uses it brilliantly. The
life of plants is pregnant with sexual suggestion as are
Alexandra's fairies, not dressed in sweet party dresses
but in much bolder apparel, perhaps much closer to nature. Like
nature's own cycle completely in touch with life,
Alexandra has also presented an image of Death.
Neill Murphy's trademark in art is his clever use of strong colours,
and bold hues, caricature figures and surrealist situations. His distinctive
styles are unique, modern and great fun. Neill Murphy is a
tremendously popular artist. Animal lovers will love this new picture named "Stray Cat". Very appealing and
painted by a cat lover.
Next Valentine's day...make a bold declaration of love with the
gift of one permanent rose. These crisp giclee prints are created from clear, sharp closeup
photographs by artist Joanne MacRae. She would like these blooms
to never fade and each print is professionally made with
pigment inks onto Hahnemuhle Fine Art Photo Rag 308 gsm. To the
non photographic buffs, this means that the prints will have a
lifespan in excess of 100 years. How long will your love last?
Michael Ward's powerful modern figuratve sculptures and oil paintings
are thought provoking. Michael's art leaps into the world of the
fantasy. His weird and menacing modern artworks
somehow make the ugly or frightening look curiously wonderful.
This is art which reflects the uneasy, threatening world in
which we now live, surrounded by anticipated fears of the unknown.
Look at the translucency of the water in Richard Franklyn's Pool.
The sun's light filters through its cool surface. Look at the
emotion on the swimmer's face, and how relaxed her body is
as she floats, her dark hair immersed; her weight held by the pool's water.
Richard Franklyn is truely a remarkable painter of beautiful
women. Their beauty is painted shining from within. Who could
fail to enjoy such a lovely piece of art in their home or
office?
This new original acrylic
painting from artist Blanca Negro is simple and striking.
The arrangement of the space is enhanced by the composition
of big bold shapes and the use of screaming scarlet for the
background makes
it an instantly noticeable, confident piece of art which would look
great in a modern home or as a piece of art in any commercial
office setting.
Artist Neil Roberts has spent six years
so far painting every card - major and minor arcania in a brand new
Tarot Pack which he calls "The Living Tarot". The meanings
from each card have been internalised by the artist and
depicted completly in his own style. These are available
as prints in various sizes. The prints are very high resolution,
good quality prints on canvas. You could begin an
exciting collection of the complete Tarot Pack -
or simply select the card which has a personal meaning to you.
Of course - these are so beautiful just as works of Art, that
you might not care about the Tarot reference at all - and just
want the prints as something curious, surreal and beautiful to
hang on your wall.
Crashing waves, a warm
turmoil of activity painted in the softest pastel pinks,
lilacs and blues, massaging
your soul as your eyes ride the surf. This relaxing oil on canvas
painting is painted by new artist at AARTI, Andrée Denovack.
Who better to paint Snowonia National
Park than a native of the wild, lonely landscape? Louise J.
Scott was born there and is obviously an expert at paitning
her surroundings which she loves so much. Victorians painted
mountains as they saw them, from the foot of their awe inspiring
crags. Louise J. Scott paints their blustery peaks in
breathtaking detail. She is selling prints of these here
along with a fine detailed print of a Peregrine falcon (from
an original painting by Louise) and
more original midex media impastos.
