David Whitfield's portraits in oils are so much more than copies of photographs. These are real people whose personalities are represented by expert brush strokes and clever colour combinations. These portraits, however distorted seem to be living entities. Even if you have never met these people, the paintings seem to be expresing something about the painted faces.

Luke Turton produces drawings with confident clear lines. He accepts commmissions and paints mainly using acrylics. Artist Grant Compton has painted a lively bright pair of paintings depicting an unfamiliar relaxed pace of life lost to us here in the uk. These figurative paintings showing African people in their beautiful traditional cottons carrying fruit and showing children playing are warm and great fun.
