Artist Sylvia Philpot has kindly agreed to hang 3 of her
paintings for sale for 3 months in the
Cornwallis Country Hotel
in Eye in Suffolk. Sylvia lives very close to the
Cornwallis Country House Hotel and is currently the president of the Eye
Arts Guild. Other artists works chosen from AARTI
by the Cornwallis hotel for exhibition at the
current time are Caroline
Yeats-Brown and
Flo Brady. Two of Vivi Karakatsani's
paintings will soon also be on exhibition here for sale for three months.
China exports many art copies but the artists in China also have identities,
thoughts, memories and dreams of their own which differ from our
Western perspectives. Li Zhuangzhi was educated at Saint Peterburg State Academic Institute
of Painting, Sculture and Architecture named after I. E.Repin
His Russian landscapes have an individual modern perspective tinged with
an honest view of his own.
Li's hauntingly beautiful oil painting called "The Coming Of Summer" is not of budding
roses or sun topped trees, but of bleak buildings dappled with a
little sun from a small patch of blue sky above. Likewise, his painting
entitled "Life" shows an all to familiar view which will be
instantly recognisable to any city dweller across thr globe. Li's perception
seems to be tinged with disilusionment and a deep sadness or longing.
Artist Carmen Tyrrell has been exhibiting with the AARTI Internet art gallery
for six years. We were the first internet gallery she used and we have sold
several of her nude drawings and paintings. Carmen has also received
commissioned work through us. Carmen is a professionally trained artist.
Originally from Bucharest, Carmen now lives and works in Lancashire. Carmen
does not only draw and paint nudes. Carmen can use all painting mediums and
accepts any commissions but prefers portraits of people or animals. Like
many artists who accept commissioned work, Carmen can work from good
quality photographs.
Martin Kenny from Hendon in London paints oil paintings
almost as people create "automatic drawings". He lets his pshyche dictate
what is to go on the canvas and the results are wonderfully strange
figurative paintings with very expressive emotional faces. The
body language expressed on each speak as much as genre painting.
These paintings depict relationships apparently between the figures
on the canvas, but untimately just be from within Martin Kenny's own
observations or life experiences. Kenny calls them "monsters" - Kenny's own
website is named Kenny's Monster Art -
but we do not see them as frightening but endearing paintings on
which the "creatures" are as full of love as perhaps E.T. Perhaps because
Kenny sees his artistic creations as "monsters", his canvases are untitled
and we have named them here A-T for easier identification.
Classicists will be thrilled by these new mosaic works
by London artist Severin Valentin. Although these mosaics are based on
the ancients (Illyad, Odyssey and the Trojan War), they are new compositions
born from Severin Valentin's imagination.
Each terracotta tile and tiny piece of
smalti glass or gold smalti is lovingly placed onto a planned image
on board. The boards are strengthened by frames and each hand made artwork comes
ready to hang. These are most unusual and yet familiar to westerners whose
education include more than a smattering of Ancient Greek or Roman literature -
whose magic and power struggles pre date Harry Potter's by a couple of thousand years!
Leeds artist Helen Earnshaw has abundant enthusiasm and an
endless stream of new ideas for subjects to paint. Helen's oil paintings
are aesthtically beautiful. There is a lot if illusionary movement
in Helen's art. Even in the painting named "Still",
an empty street seems to be shimmering in early morning sunlight. The
autumnal colours in her painting of Portmeirion are a glorious
combination of rich oranges and yellows, cooled by the contrasting
greens of the still water under a bridge.
The artists on this website choose the price they want to
charge for their artworks. If you want to snap up a
real bargain, look at these skilled, oil paintings for sale
by Nottinghamshire artist Alan David Baxter. Alan spends
time considering the composition of his subjects and before
placing each brushstroke on the canvas, the painting under
construction is considered with Alam's artistic eye for the
right colour and hue. The results are beautiful.
Elise White's fabulous, bright watercolour paintings are unusual
depictions of endangered Elephants and Zebras. Elise has achieved
a most striking effect by her unusual choice of contrasting colours
convey well the idea of peering at these animals
through the searing heat of blazing African sun. Here, Elise White is
selling here the original watercolours and also offers the more affordable
option of giclee prints.
The visual impact of artist David Cassidy's bold abstract painting
entitled "Lord Of The Rings" is dramatic. If you look long enough at
this modern abstract painting, with its thick textured surface, the colours
will play tricks with your eyes, giving the illusion of mysterious,
magical movement. It does not whisper "My Precious" but does seem to
have some power to hold one's gaze. Philip Cassidy has been the featured
artist in the "Welsh Painter's" Magazine.
Dreja Novak's paintings and mosaic works are
classically beautiful, evocative and sensual in a tender,
feminine way. The painting shown here on the right is
a watercolour entitled "Lovers". Dreja is also selling, in her art
gallery here, three beautifully executed acrylic paintings on canvas and two
mosaic artworks. All of Dreja's extremely original, fine quality artworks
are a must see for any art lover.
Jessica Stride uses colour wonderfully in her
modern abstract paintings. Jessica's selected hues contast across the
painting frame with great subtility, gently graduating
from one shade to the next. The final results of her talented creativity
are paintings which are almost hypnotic to look at. The surfaces seem
to be translucent, light and etheric. This is Jessica's second submission
of art to our on-line art gallery. The first four have all ben sold.
We are very excited to present 31 original oil paintings from new artist
on AARTI John K. Kaminja. John is from Nairobi and has painted
traditional landscapes, big cats and figure paintings and also
modern works; whirls of dancers, and Maasai Warriers, proudly defending
their heritage, conducting their nomadic existance
wearing their most vibrant and beautiful traditional costumes.
All of John's expert artworks show a deep love for Kenya and for its people,
tinged with a sadness, and all expressed in oils on canvas.
Grace Alderson lives in the Lake District and like Wordsworth, Grace
feels the engulfing magical powers of nature as it unfolds
its glory in ever changing colours. Appropriately,
Grace captures the powerful atmosphere using the translucent and transitory
medium of water colours. Anybody who has ever taken a holiday in the
Lake District will recognise the peaceful strength of natural forces at
work depicted in
these wonderful traditional English landscapes. Grace accepts commissions.
It has been said that starving people dream of food. Perhaps that is why
Scottish artist Ruth Addinall, who lives in the harsh, cold, Scottish climate
paints soft warm, cosy paintings, which are rounded and caressing. Her
oil paintings on canvas and board have the teture of high quality
softly woven Scottish wool. Yet, despite the comfort of these textures,
and the largeness of the figures which convey warmth of
friendship; the quiet solitude, and peaceful natural evening light used,
also conveys a deep loneliness and empty yearning for something
missing. Her subject matter is often re-worked into new compositions,
always familiar yet different. Ruth's paintings remind one of
talented authors who can
cleverly write extraordinary novels using seemingly ordinary
characters.
Charlie Parker shows that he is proficient as an
artist who paints in many mediums and in varying styles. For
sale here are two very exciting portraits of "The King", Elvis
Presley. One is a drawing and the other an original oil painting.
As a complete contrast, Charlie Parker also presents here
three glowing skycapes - which could be sunrises or sunsets. The
textured surface of thick oil paint and warm colours will
enrich any room in which these are displayed.
Finally new here are two wonderfully detailed landscapes of
Durham. Charlie Parker's art is competatively priced. Don't
think too long about whether you really want any of these
original artworks - somebody may beat you to the bargain of the
century!
Glasgow artist Leana Zaccarini constructs her
vibrant, richly coloured modern abstracts by mixing paint media such
as gouache, watercolour, ink and oils. She adds texture to the surfaces with
3D gels, gold leaf and shell. If you gaze at these mesmerising
paintings your eyes will dance giving an illusion of movement. If these
paintings are a reflection of the artist's personality, Leana
Zaccarini mut be brimming with energy and with a love for life itself.
