Here we have new modern figurative original oil on canvas paintings by Sunderland artist Michael Stuart Steele. These paintings seem to depict one person as if we are being allowed to visually see difficult thought processes. The figures in Michael's paintings are presented processing situations which are apparently causing internal conflicts.
These paintings are clever and slightly dark. They are beautifully painted
and some are large - which will make wonderful centre pieces in
modern offices or open plan homes with a bit of space.
Belgian artist Lyuba Zahova represented Bulgaria, her home country at
the international art festival in 2006 at Monastir in Tunis. Her modern oil paintings are full of passionate energy and lively movement. She uses strong confident brushwork and colours which enhance the moods of her paintings. Lyuba is an art graduate from the fine-art institute
in Dupnista and has worked as a fine-art teacher and as the director of a fine art gallery in Shabla in Bulgaria.
Like Jane Austen's Mr. Darcy, artist David Welsh was born in
undulating Derbyhire. Among his diverse portfolio, contemporary artist
David paints painterly, detailed traditional town and landscapes selected from locations as far
apart as London and the Brecon Beacons. David picks out well small details
on each of his oil paintings which contrast perfectly with the backgrounds.
David's paintings show well the ever changing British sky, sometimes grey and
overcast and sometimes clear blue with patches of cloud shadowed on the
surfact of the earth as if moving on the two dimensional frame of the canvas.
Artist Neill Murphy has added his first pencil drawing to his collection
of original oil paintings for sale on AARTI. This drawing,
called 'From the Rooftops Of An Italian Town' was done while Neill
and his wife were on a visit to Venice. Neill has captured, in his own unique
style, the architectural beauty of Venice. Neill asks the question millions
have before - 'How long will it be before Venice sinks back into the lagoon.
and long will its wondrous treasures last?'
Bulgarian artist Ivet Ostreva lives in peace, at one with nature. Currently residing in Adelaide, Australia, her creative works seem to at once
reflect and also absorb the wonders of her wide, beautiful world. This
selection of Ivet's paintings are all mixed media creations which pulsate with the life
that exists all around us, through flora and fauna. Ivet has just joined AARTI
with an explosion of art which is modern but which must surely reach through
to the most traditional of souls. Ivet has added 42 paintings to AARTI which
have been divided into 4 separate exhibitions.
Pasadena artist Scott Andrew Spencer is a member of the Pasadena
Society of Artists and he is well known in Pasadena where
he now lives and works. Largely self taught, Scott took up painting
professionally in 1999 after surviving from a cancer scare. His works hang in many private collections and galleries in America,
Spain and the UK. He likes to listen to music as he paints, often through the night.
He takes his inspiration from his impressions of immediate surroundings which
he assimilates to produce the most unusual original oil on canvas paintings.
Scott always feels that he is surrounded by a sort of guardian spirit who looks
after him and keeps him safe.
