Ale from London, has extreme patience and the eye of an artist. Each
tiny tile of smalti smalti glass is patiently layed and fixed on her
mosaic artworks by hand and the results are unique, shimmering paintings
of coloured glass to compete with any ancient mosaic floors of Italy.
As a tribute to one of her favourite artists, Ale has re-created in
smalti glass a wonderful picture in the post impressionist style of Van
Gogh. The swirling lines and delicate colours are complimented by actual
light reflecting on the tiles instead of Van Gogh's illusions.
These are stunning pieces of art - very different and will change as
the light in your home dances across their surface.
This example shown in entitled Ravenna Flower and it looks as if the
morning dew has touched the petals of this red flower and left a soft
coating of moisture.

Artist Rusudan Gobejishvili's paintings are brimming with
emotion. Their loose style, colours and thick, painterly surfaces
express art from an artist who paints from the soul. This original
oil painting for sale is entitled "Sadness". Look at this sitter's eyes,
her pursed mouth the palor
of her skin, the coldness of the blues and greens, and the worry lines achieved throuh the thick surface
of oil paint. Rusudan is a contmporary artist from Tblisi in Goergia.

Lincolnshire artist Paticia Mooney has painted an image for all you
ladies who have wardrobes full of shoes, and who cannot pass their favourite
designer shop without at least browsing. These imaginary pieces of designer
footwear float as in a dream. No doubt a shoe lover might imagine that they
were in heaven if they had this image in their nighttime reveries.
This is an original acrylic painting for sale entitled "Boots" and costs
a lot less than most designer shoes - even if they were in a sale!

With a tickle of his watercolour brush, artist Clive Lennard from Maidstone
in kent has produces very real nudes, in relaxed poses. These may
have been studies for larger paintings but each in its own right is a little
work of art. As a collection they would look great on any wall.
To tempt any epicurian, Clive offers here for sale two small oil paintings
of mushrooms. They look pretty good to me and I am already dreaming of
my mushroom risotto - or perhaps just a good old fashioned, British.cholestral
packed fry up!

These original acrylic and oil paintings by artist Derek Urban capture
the essence of life in Devon - shimmering wet sand, crashing waves, Kites,
long empty beaches and quiet walks in lonely beauty spots. Of course
there are children. Millions of us recall those special holidays in Devon
- Gulls, Deck chairs, boats, Rainbow coloured windbreaks - and somehow
in this small collection of paintings, Derek gives us all of these and more!

Have you ever been caught brethless for a moment at the incredible beauty
of a flower at the moment in it's life when its tiny heads are opened to the
sunlight and it is perfect? The light filters through the delicate
colours on its petals giving a million different hues of the same colour.
Artist June Urban from Devon obviously shares your delight. She
has painted, usin the most difficult of mediums, watercolour (one mistake
and the whole painting is ruined) - original paintings showing just
that moment. Here are lovely British buttercups, most under rated, Morning Glory,
Sunflowers, Daffodils Amarylis and Rhododendrons. A floral
celebration of nature's wonderful creations.

As human beings, many of the neurons in our brain are programmed to recognise
faces. Here are anonymous faces each with their own personality and expression
of character. Who are they? Where are they from? What are they thinking?
Are they beautiful? Hungry? Angry? Happy? Sad? These people are
a tiny selection from all of the faces on the planet - each of us is unique
(if we are not an identical twin!). These are fascinating and thought
provoking photographs. Why has the artist selected these people? What does
their apparel tell us about them? What does looking at them say about us?
How do these make you feel? So many questions and, I imagine, so many
different answers from each person who really looks at these photographs
from award winning London photographer Gautam Narang.

As this painting exemplifies, artist Ron Atkin can paint
with professional ease. Having trained at the Royal Academy in London (Where Constable, Blake and Turner trained),
he had the opportunity to carve a successful career as a
society portrait painter - but like so many other great artists,
felt that this would be like wearing a strait jacket.
Ron persues art in his own unique style - his paintings are full of
energy and love. They are colourful and often funny. This gallery is the first
which Ron added to AARTI. More details about this illustrious artist and
author on his summary page.

Despite so many new movements in art, landscapes remain hot favourites. Here
are two landscapes in acrylics by contemporary New York artist
Jeffrey R. Payne. No people, no buildings or traffic, no
electronic neon flashing lights, simply the tranquil beauty of nature.
Waves on the seashore, Running streams, water cascading over and through
rocky ground. Calming greenery, bullrushes, coarse grasses, sand dunes
and sky.

I have never viewed Cambridge as artist Olga Karamenova. Her
swirling brush strokes have an other wordly quality and remind one of
the bustling street in Harry Potter where the purchase of his owl and
wand are made. Magical moving walls and mysterious surroundings to
be spotted. It is almost as if Olga is somehow in touch with the past
through a dream. These are cityscapes with a twist. Very interesting
and exciting!
