Richard Franklyn is a professional artist from Brighton (UK). He
paints using gouache which gives his original paintings a special opaque
quality. This is a perfect medium for good artists who - like Richard - are
expert at producing figurative art because the surfaces on his subjects
have a soft, smooth shine. Richard's paintings stand out because they are
realistic yet, cleverly, not simple photographic reproductions. These
are the works of a true artist - one who understands the relationships of
colour tones, spacing and lines, and who has worked to achieve an exact
desired effect. Would that my own skin was as downy as this "Pink Lady"'s -
Richard has also sumbitted for sale a portrait of Rod Stewart. If Rod Stewart
himself bought the portrait - and I looked as floaty and
stunning as she - I would volunteer to deliver it myself!!

Artists paint best when they paint from their hearts. Lebanese artist
Naim Elhajj obviosly knows this. He has taken the time to perfect
his original acrylic paintings. Each colour, each brushstroke carefully
considered and painted with love. This original acrylic painting is
available for you to buy. When you own any original painting, it is
the only one on earth. You could own these lips. The painting is
entitled "Passionate Kiss". Wouldn't you like to own this?

Sometimes a view is more than just a scenic picture. When C.S Lewis
created the magical land of Narnia, his inspiration came from a painting
of a valley on the wall of his childhood home. That is the quality
which I see the paintings from Irish artist Maureen Greenwood. In
this original oil painting for sale by Maureen, called "Spring In The Tyrol" your eye
is clevery led into a verdant, lush green valley similar to that which inspired C.S. Lewis, red poppies, green pastures and
snow capped distant hills. Like great literature, a painting can
capture your imagination and transport your thoughts to a beautiful
place - far from any mundane reality. Like Van Gogh, Maureen has
painted a sunflower - and like Van Gogh, she has taken the time to really
look at one, then used her skill as an artist to paint the delicate
translucent light through its petals and bring life to its centre.
If you buy any of her paintings you will not tire of marvelling at her
skill.

Artist Kate Challinor from Leeds in the North of England certainly
knows how to handle acrylic paints. The realism she achieves is
astounding. Kate also knows about composition - how to lead one's eye into
the picture with soft curves and carefully selected hues. This deer
is perfectly positioned in her original acrylic painting here for you to buy.
We can imagine sitting, having spotted the deer and, catching our
breath, watching as it stands, slightly startled - looking ready to spring from the canvas
with any unexpected sound. The title tells us - there is none - the
dawn is silent so he can relax again.

Here is a fantastic opportunity for you to start a collection
of modern impressionistic and abstract art by popular Dorset artist
Les Barker! Les has replaced the paintings he had for sale with
a fresh collection - some smaller than before and all unmistakeably
Les Barker paintings. Les has been a professional artist his
whole life and you will not be disappointed when
you receive an original painting by Les. Like Rene Magritte's anonymous
men in bowler hats, Les barker paints anonymous shoppers in crowds - so
familiar to us all as we try to go shopping anywhere in the UK. Les's
people, painted as original acrylics with loose brush strokes are
genrally wrapped up against the vagueries of the British weather. Les
is well known in his home town of Dorset and has also lived for
many years in Australia, and he still keeps in touch with many
of his past customers there.

Johannesburg, where artist Malcolm Turner is from has as many trees as
it has people. Malcolm's precisely executed, realistic South African landscapes and
seascapes encompass some of that verdant greenness and the huge
powerful natural wonders of nature, making one feel good to be part of it all. This landscape, aptly named "The Sojourners"
includes a colourful little shanty town, as much part
of the landscape as the yellowed fields and the circle of trees.

Now in his mid 30's, Romanian artist Borta Ambrozie Ovidiu is
an experienced, established award winning artist. Borta paints exciting,
original, surreal, abstract oil paintings. One might decsribe his
using artistic intellectual terminology
but Borta says that paints for people simply to smile when they look at his
fine artworks. Quality always shows. These paintings show an artist able
to paint to a very high standard.

Award winning artistic photographer Anya Smith is at the start of
a career which. judging by these examples of her works, looks to become
very successful. Anya seems to have an 'eye' for beautiful colour
combinations and that transient abstract beauty that is there to be captured
if you have the skilled eye to find them.

Like Constable before him, Dipika Patel lives in London and paints
landscapes of far away places. In the UK this year we have suffered from
rivers bursting their banks but nothing like Niagara Falls between New york and Ontario
- where the river Nigara thunders deafeningly into gorges. If you have
been there or want to go one day, perhaps you might love to have reminders
on your walls in the form of an original acrylic riverscape painting by
London Artist Dipika Patel.

Artist Jacqueline Pickstock from Coventry does not take her great
talent as an artist for granted. Jacqueline works hard, always experimenting
with new subjects and styles and broadening her skill base. Luckily
she has not abandoned painting quality traditional fine-art figurative, portrait and wildlife works.
These examples from Jacqeline's portfolio are all original oil paintings for sale.
The reality achieved by Jaqueline's portraits is staggering.
Her more modern oil paintings were produced after experimenting with digital
technology - a great change from her portrait of the Virgin Mary or the
lively wildlife painting of bluetits fighting.

East Anglian artist Tina Bone paints with precision and passion
taking a long time to select and study her subjects before completing
each work. The details and colours on her paintings are truly astounding.
On this very large, accurate ornithological painting of a pheasant,
the feathers bloom as on the living bird and the tiny seet pods on the
grasses cling on as they blow in the breeze. This original watercolour
painting was painted from Tina's artistic memory.

We welcome our first artist from Pakistan Shahzad Siddique. His
first painting for sale with us is an interesting original oil landscape
painting. Here is an elderly farmer in Kashir, tilling the ground with oxen pulling his wooden
plough. This is as idyllic a scene as can be for those who eschew modern
enviromnemtal waste, crowds and pointless struggles in modern city living.
Continents change and society becomes ever more complex. Centres of commerce
rise and fall through the centuries, and this farmer like millions of
others is still there - rising early, feeding his animals, ploughing the land
and planting his crops. Life is hard. Who has more contentment?
