Paintings by Somerset artist John Routledge have a unique,
modern professional quality all of their own. John paints and draws
mostly nudes but also wild landscapes. John's nudes are real women with real curves and
naturally relaxed poses. The colours John blends on his subjects and
on the backgrounds are impressionistic and the resulting paintings have
a soft quality and breathtaking beauty. Here we have added two separate
galleries - one of original paintings - acrylics and watercolours and
the second (not to be missed) is of original pastel drawings. The
summary page shows paintings from both galleries. (click on the summary page
pictures to enter the separate main galleries). John already has another
two galleries on out site which can be visited by using the selection box
at the bottom of the summary pages and the main galleries.

Popular artist, Vivi Karakatsani from Greece paints original oil paintings. Vivi's
stye of painting is soft, romantic and feminine. The artwork is rich
gentle and warm like a baby lying on a soft pillow. The subjects
of her art, which normally include figures, usually depict emotive
moments of peace. The locations in her paintings, of interiors or outside
are all truly beautiful, chosen with an inner emotion as well as
an artistic eye.

On this website we have many professional artists, some
already making a name for themselves in the art world but we
also have artists at the start of a career. Young artist Naim Elhajj
wants to sell his art so that he can pay to go to art school.
If this original acrylic painting is an example of what he can achieve with no training
how wonderful his art could become after learning new skills and techniques!

Artist Blanca Negro is Spanish but lives in London. Blanca
has added to her galleries on our website a new modern square original
acrylic floral painting of a Lily called "Pond Star". There is something
energetic, fresh and modern about Blanca's painting - like the budding of a flower
in the sunhine. This lovely lily, stretching its pink
stamens in the warm sun, sitting on the cool water of a pond is a
delicious painting. It is full of interesting contrasts. It has
warm and cool colours, thick acrylic paint but delicate petals and flat still
water. The hues are lively yet it is a modern still life. Blanca
really has a talent for adding a little something special to her
compositions which is delightful.

Chinese artist Yvonne Yu paints original contemporary figurative
paintings in oils. She paints the backgrounds of her artworks with
loose, impressionist strokes to represent the turmoil of inner emotions
of her female subjects. Yvonne is a professionally trained artist
and this shows in her confident brushwork and use of colour. These
are dramatic, striking works - perfect for anybody looking for
a centrepiece to a room decorated in muted tones.

Sheffield artist Fiona Carruth's paintings transport you into
ancient folk-lore and legends. Fun, magic, mystery and mysterious energy
envelop the viewer. As well as her modern figurative works,
Fiona has created her own method of producing a series of 9 wonderfully detailed
pictures entitled "The Magic Forest". Fiona made these by polishing
wax onto glossy paper until it is smooth. Hew "Magic Forest" is truly
a world of fairy tales - strange fairy-like creatures evidently
do exist and Fiona has captured them with all their etherial beauty. It
is well worth seeing thee as enlarged images to fully appreciate them (see
above on how to view the biggest images on this website)

Tracy Marshall from London paints what she loves most, beautiful
romantic roses and delicious chocolates and sweets. Her newest little
original oil painting is of a very attractive chocolate cup cake. The
icing looks very enticing. If you own any establishement which serves food,
paintings like this one would almost certainly boost your sales - who
could sit sipping a coffee and not be tempted to just add another small
delicious delicacy to their bill?
