Russian artist Ainagul Isaeva is currently
in Brisbane, Australia. Ainagul's romantic, original oil paintings
have the rich decadence of Gustav Klimt's with a very modern edge. These
beautifully painted, very exciting, imaginative, abstract surreal paintings are a Russian artist's refelections on the shiny commercial
society of the day where posessions and pop stars are supreme.
These paintings are sexy, beautiful, with a deep social comment; each a contemporary gem!

French artist Ingrid Allen is an expreienced printmaker and
here exhibits her wide range of abilities by offering prints created
using traditional skills. Adding to the three collagraphs Ingrid already
has for sale on AARTI, Ingrid adds here four Mezzotints, two drypoint

wool on this sheep - so real you want to touch it!

A photograph of a landscape can capture a scene precisely but a painting
can exhude illusions of the emotions felt while standing in the landscape.
Popular artist Maureen Greenwood's two new additions to our gallery
depict just this. The thick red paint and loose brush strokes show
how hot it is there. The bright primary reds and yellows signify
emotions of pleasure. This example is the artists impression of a
memorable holiday taken in Bonifacio, Corsica last year.

This is original modern mixed media portrait by Weston Super Mare artist
Adam McLevey. We have all travelled on public transport and
seen strangers. It is interesting to wonder about them - why are they
travelling - what are they thinking. This portrait - named appropriately
'The Passenger' reminds one of James Blunt's recent song about a
brief encounter. Adam has caught the girl in a blaze of light from
the bus window as she sits, unaware that she is being observed as she
travels - on a bus and through life. All three of Adam's paintings here
are interesting inviting us to look a little longer and to think.

This original oil painting by South African artist Malcolm Turner
was inspired by the hussle and bustle of people and boats coming and going
at the V&A waterfront in Capetown. The dynamic here was to capture the
activity, excitement and buzz of a typical harbour scene. Malcolm has two
galleries on AARTI - one showing coastal art (this is one example) and the
other, showing dramatic vast skies and landscapes from South Africa.

Northamptonshire artist Rick Short lives in a narrowboat, cruising
slowly through life, taking his time to absorb nature and with his
artistic talents, to capture the emotion of the moment in either painting
or in sculpture. This smooth, clean and beautiful unique painted plaster
sculpture was inspired by a newspaper silently rolling down a street.

Poor Pakistan, and her people, is suffering. These paintings and drawings from
Pakistani artist Shahzad Siddique show how art need not depict the
cultural events such as bloodshed or fighting. Art can be a counterbalance
- an escapism showing the great peace to be found all around.
Even when living under dictatorship this is still a beautiful world and this
fantastic love (of natural beauty) is understood and appreciated globally.

Artist John Mulberry's oil paintings are very popular. If you do not have the
budget to stretch to one of his originals but love his artworks, you can
treat yourself to a miniature version because John has had blank cards
printed depicting details from a selection of his paintings. Those showing
white lilies would make amazing original wedding invitations. Any could
be used as birthday cards, or simply as notelets to drop a line to a friend
far away. These cards would be adored by garden lovers or art lovers
alike - very versatile and because you can write any message you want to
inside, they can be kept in a cupboard and used for emergencies. The
cards can be purchased as single cards, or in quantities of 10s, 100s or
1000s.

Printmaking is an old craft dating right back to the renaissance
and Albrecht Durer. Artist
Ingrid Allen, who resides in France keeps this skill going
and uses the effects that can be achieved with etching and collagraphy
to create lovely prints with an ethereial beauty. The quality that light
has as it diffuses slowly through the dusk and dawn, across landscapes and
through windows is maximised in these three professional hand made prints
from originals by the artist. One of Ingrid's prints is a collagraph. No two
collagraphs are ever the same. These are all exceptionally skilled and very special
prints.

Derbyshire Emily Garces was amazed when a buyer wanted to buy her
first painting from our website because she thought that nobody would
buy pantings on-line. Emily has now givn us three more paintings for
you to enjoy. Two are painted with staggering realism using acrylics and
airbrush. The third is a warm hypnotic sunset over the sea. All three are
original paintings.

Artist Natasha R. Graham has painted a lively original abstract
painting in acrylics called The Birth Of The Universe. Natasha has
imagined what a miraculous and marvelous energy must have circled and
exploded as the first star was born and from the embryonic nucleus on her canvas
waves of warm colour, apparently spreading outwards to beyond the edges
of the picture. The colours are warm so I think this new universe will
be filled with good emotions.

Greek artist George Tsasraklides is a modern humanist; highly educated
with the mind of a scientific philosopher and the heart of a true artist.
It is not surprising that his original impressionistic artworks in oil
use unusual colour combinations. His imaginative painting techniques
produce exciting
results with marvelously interesting complex shapes which are
joyous to view. These are paintings in which something
new might be noticed each time they are looked at.
