Watercolours really are an exceptional medium for showing the multi-layered
light of the lakes and moors of the UK. Newport artist Terry Baker
shows just how perfectly two completely different hilly Welsh landscapes
swathed in cloud can be captured using this medium. Terry does
not profess to be a professional artist, but one tiny error
can destroy a watercolour so perhaps Terry might be classified as
an experienced watercolourist.

Artist R A Laine from Newcastle Upon Tyne paints traditional
landscapes using watercolours. With his loose style, he captures the
mood of the open air - the tranquility of the scenes and the
sensory ambiance of the weather. Robert Laine accepts commissioned
works and, where possible will visit the locations of the landscapes
to b painted.

These professional, sensual and affordable photographic prints were created
by an artist from Henlow - André Axford. They certainly have
"The Look". The models on his photographs are poised and captured
cleverly to impact suggestion with a minimum number of colours.
These portraits are sexy without being pornographic.
André has a lot of sales and Marketing experience and now works full time
as a professional photographer.

Talented artist TK Sarasvathy from Singapore is exhibiting two
original still life paintings in oil. The styles of each could not be more different.
This vase of flowers shows skill in painting realism. These flowers
could have been picked from a sunny summer garden. The other is a more
modern still life, painted with loose brush strokes - the result
being an impressionistic semi abstracted still life painting. Both
have their own merits. Different people will prefer one or the other.
If we were all the same this would be a very dull world!

There is no doubt that the standard of Art education in China is high.
Copying is something that the Chinese do well. Less common are original
artworks from named Chinese artists and we add two more here from
the professional Chinese artist Arthur Sheung. These abstracts
are original oil paintings, numbered but untitled. Arthur has put his years of experience into
expressing himself as an individual, putting his thoughts and feelings
into colour and abstract composition. Take time when you look at abstracts
to learn what feelings they give to you.

Huge, dramatic and thought provoking are adjectives that might be
chosen for these original oil paintings by Montenegran artist Borislav Jovanovic.
Borislav describes his style as a little bit realistic but always in
imagination. The serbian term for his style is "PRUM". Borislav paints
though his faith - his belief in God and Jesus Christ and each is
a celebration of life. Borislav hopes that through Art, we can build a
better world.

If you think that formal training is required to produce skilled paintings
then take a close look at these wonderfully detailed paintings from
Serbian artist Sasa Milojkovic. Fantasically realistic,
and composed like an old master, these paintings would at the very
least allow you to agree that there are exceptions to every rule!

Mentioned in India's NCR Tribune, Yogendra Kumar Purohit is
a rising star in the art world. Yogendra has added two delicate and
complex abstract self portraits in acrylic to his gallery. In these
portrayals of his thoughts, Yogendra seems to be above the earth
in some kind of out of body experience, looking down. The colours
used are cool and calm. These original paintings are fascinating and beautiful.

Umberto Carrara shows that art does not have to be serious or have
a deep meaning to be interesting and an eye catching focal
point. Umberto's designs make one smile. They are so simple
and happy and can bring joy into your life. They remind us
of talismen from which luck can eminate.

Gordon Napier is at the start of his career. His art is fresh
experimental and good. He has painted some innovative
surreal images and other interesting figurative portraits of women.
Gordon accepts commissioned work.

Plamen Kapitanski is a popular inovative artist already well established
in London. His abstract figures and images are complex and exciting.
These images are thought provoking and
seem to evoke a sort of biological fascination with their voluptuous
curves and sparks of energy. They would look good on any large wall
as a focal point and would convey in a commercial environment that
the owners have the fast paced pulse of the modern world.

Theresa's paintings of canals and flowers are contemplative and
colourful and full of surprising details. She capptures the very
essence of the texture of flowers with the light behind them. These
are paintings for lovers of all things Italian.
