Have you ever heard of an artist called H. Fletcher?
I am reasearching a few oil paintings that have been passed down to me, one is of a beautiful country landscape (no artist name) and the other is of a dock/water mill scene - signed by H Flecther.
I believe that they paintings are from shropshire and are of the local area.

I'm enquiring about a picture I have by H. Daumier that resembles "The Collector of Engravings" ca 1860-62 except the gentleman is standing and more engravings are shown at his feet. There is a sticker on the back: Catalda Fine Arts, Frame No.S969, Artist Daumier, Order No. 2423. Can you possibly give me any information on this picture? I would appreciate hearing from you.

I have a painting of a garden scene dated 1924 by a person named C.Minett in its orignal Black enamel frame also a Reproduction National Trust picture of 2 Boys Fishing with Metingham Castle Bungay Suffolk in the back ground, it has a number on the back 217 and I believe just over 900 were poduced. The original was by Thomas Gainsborough. Can you help?

Hello there
Yesterday a friend of mine was clearing out the spare room in his house
and showed me a painting whats been there for years. Its of a pub scene
with a horse and cart and people sitting around drinking and talking. At the
bottom. It is signed stanhope a. forbes. 1937, its size is 27"+21" but unfortunatley it is slightly
damaged. After doing some inquiring i've found that he lived in newlyn

Just purchased a nursing home Old Charleton house in the Isle of Whyte with a number of oil paintings by a David Barber. Did you paint them by any chance, one large seascape,and one portrait of sea captain. They are fabulouse and would love to know more about them. Can u help? My stepfather was left a small oil painting by his elderly aunt about 30 years ago, she was in service at a stately home in the warrington area, and was given the painting as a gift, the painting is called the thorn, it shows a young woman with a red scarf draped around her head and kneck with a white top with a marroon skirt, barefoot, she has a cord in her right hand which is attached to a few twigs, in the painting it seems she has just climbed over a gate/style and is trying to remove the thorn from her leg, the other imformation we have that we can see on the back of the painting is grinley and palmer g14, 115union street, then another address 75 church street liverpool, 2621, then another set of numbers which is either b2355 or 02355, after taking the painting to the antics roadshow where the painting was taken out of it,s frame the experts still couldnt make out the name of the painter, they gave us a valuation, but they did say if it was who they thought painted it it would be worth a great deal more, please if you have any imformation.

I have a Coursings II, Louis Icart signed(not numbered) print with an impressed mark on the bottom left side. it says Atelier 1908, paris london mirseilles. It appears 75+ years olds, I have not taken it out of the frame. Is this valuable? What is the mark? I know it means artist studio.

The picture is quite dark and features a man in an overcoat and tall hat gazing at a muted lightened coral picture of a young girl. That picture is surrounded by others. There is a bench in front of him holding packets of other pictures, I assume.

Can you help please, I have 3 pictures by Ivan Lackovic. I have no idea if they are just prints or lithographic copies. Also 2 hand-coloured pictures - 1 is The Thames at Richmond by GH Andrews, the other is un-named but I think it is by the same artist. I need to find out what the value of them are, and where I could sell them. The reason I wish to sell them, is because I am emmigrating and basically selling my home in England.

Like most of the people on this enquiries page,I too am seeking information; my mother also has a painting/print with a lable on the back stating that it came from Catalda Fine Arts Inc. NYC. It's titled; #8695 Floral, artist Renoir, frame # AB86. It's a picture/painting by Renoir titled "Bouquet des Chrysanthemes."
